No power - Turbo? Please help

Featured Replies

Hi all,

It's been a while but I'm out of my company Fiesta - Way too small - and back in my Octavia.

I was so glad to have it back for 100 miles... until the battery went - So I replaced it,

Then 1 week on and now I have an engine light on and no power at the point the turbo would normally kick in.

I am hoping there are things I can check like sensors or hoses 1st before having to consider a garage replacement turbo.

Not sure if it is limp home mode as I can still get to normal speeds just a lot more slowly.

No sure if it's just me but on tick over it sounds like a clicking sound to the left of the engine.

Can anyone offer any advice please, I have a family friend mechanic that will know more than me and will hopefully be able to take a look on the weekend but it's nice to know any common or possible things to look at.

Thank you

Phil

Best thing to do as the engine light it is on the fault code will be logged on the ecu so try to get a scan via a vcds but I'm sure any diagnostic machine should pick the fault

Hope you get it sorted mate does sound like limp mode
