Anyone had a Phone call?

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had a phone call from their Dealer asking if you want to sell your car to them?

"Good afternoon Mr. ****** its Paul from D.M. *****s in B********"

"Do you still have the 2010 Year Octavia vRS?"

"Yes. I do"

" Would you be interested in selling it?"

"No. Sorry. I have no plans to sell it at the moment"

OK. Mr ********. Thankyou."

I haven't but I have read someone else on here recently said they had the same call as you. I guess they are only going to offer trade price anyway.

Yup. Simpsons Colne. Mailed me and followed up with a call.

VIP invite event get you in a new car for less than your paying now.

No thanks says me. Happy and love my car.

Ok says them. Nice no pressure call.

Even we have had a phone call from DM Keith after owning the car for only just over a year at the time.

I said we were intending on keeping the car for the foreseeable future and no plans to sell until either it's on it's last legs or we have a major change in circumstances.

Yes Simpsons Preston several emails we want your Blackline 5000 miles on the clock you can have a new vrs for errrrrr £27.000 what that's £8000 more than mine for a lower spec,d vrs.Thats £2500 per 2bhp and a bit more.14 bhp for £8000, Shark looks like massive bargain 30bhp increase should be £16.000.

:finger:  :moon: .......... ;)

To be fair I have the same call a while back, went into the dealer and they took my MK2 vRS off me and traded it in for a MK3 vRS with no difference in monthly payment and no money exchanged.

Only thing was I went from DSG to manual but I get adaptive bi-xenons (now std) instead. The mk3 is a much better car overall, can't really complain, it might be worth a trip to them - I got a coffee and a free car wash whilst we chatted!

Yep had the email and call. I'd imagine its a nice earner for them since they potentially have some one warm to Skoda, get to move on another 2013 model and probably make a bit on the resale of the trade in as the 2nd hand prices on them at the moment are holding firm due to lack of them on the market!

+1 from the numpty's @Stoke    ('anly duck)

Simply trying to sell you a new car.

free car wash whilst we chatted!

Pretty sure that wouldn't sway Chris to go! :dull:  :D
