VRS PD170 fuel pump leak

Featured Replies

Afternoon all

Had my cambelt/waterpump  changed on my vrs 170 pd week before last at 68,000 miles at my local specialist and they noticed the fuel pump is leaking.

Not enough to mark my drive drive but apparently it is dripping on a coolant hose so i want to get it sorted ASAP

Is this common issue? can it be sorted easily?

The garage seems to think it would only take an hour to re seal @ about £55 an hour labour plus any parts, but said that would be what they would try first to stop the leak

Does this sound about right?

Thanks

Phil

sounds cheaper than a pump  DO keep us posted --is it the pump or Pump to block?    not familiar with that one

I'm hoping it won't be the pump!

Couldn't tell you where its leaking from I'm afraid but it has started leaking enough to mark the drive where I park every night, going to pressure wash it off tomorrow morning to get a better look at it.
