I know what you mean but my dealer (Meadens) will sell them on at that price.

..added to which the sporty colours are very nice for someone like me who is going to keep it for 10 years, unfortunately the Toledo colour choice is very limited & sporty shades are not offered -

BUT if you had to sell it on or trade it in, surely Rally Green or Canary Yellow are going to knock 500-1000 off the value straight away.

The book price of a second hand vehicle is not effected by colour.

The keeness of a dealer wishing to take it in can be effected by its colour, especially if it is a small dealer as he knows what sells.

The main criteria effecting price is; make/model/mileage/condition/number of owners and service history.

Colour is a very personal and emotive subject, as much as a particular colour may make you urge others may love it.

Well Ben I wasn't fishing...but if the colour makes a dealer less likely to take a green car off your hands, are you going to have to take less money? -3% according to CAP

I had a house that was identical to many others on a development, but it was on an awkward plot, and it didn't sell for years and eventually for a loss.

It must depend which branch you deal with?

I've had 2 new cars off AC and never any trouble, in fact overall the service was good.

I think it's like most things, holidays, electrical goods, only those with a gripe get on the net and publicise it, the content customers dont bother.
