not really new......just returning.....

Hi all,

Well after not owning any vag for a number of years I am returning to the fold!

I previously owned a leon cupra tdi and then a octy vrs tdi.

Anyway long story short I needed something reliable (hopefully) and cheap to run so have just bought a 2006 fabia 1.4tdi for the missus.

was £2300 from a dealer with one owner,80k miles, ambiente trim so at least has a few toys and tidy throughout.

All in all pretty happy but is there anything I should give immediate attention too? Only has service history too 2009 and obviously been self serviced since then.

I am slightly worried about lack of timing belt history.

Dealer assured me it would be inspected and serviced etc but I cant trust a dealers word!!

Anyway any advice welcome in terms of must do service items ie egr valve?
