More Or Less Air?

What are the tyre pressures needed for my new tyres that are now on my superb. They are 225/45/R17. Old tyres were 205/55/R16. Would the tyre pressures be the same or different?

TIA, Rob

well, i'm going to go out on a limb and say the same.....there are no different pressures listed for different size wheels on my Passat....

if you find out different, let me know.......

Standard pressures are:

2.3/2.1

2.5/2.3

in Bar, half and full loads.....(from memory, so might be a little out.... )

Stick with the standard pressures and see how it goes. Tyre pressures have more to do with the car's weight than the wheel size.

No some one else got those but I have fitted RS6 wheels with 225/45/17 tyres and it looks nothing like the photochop I did  to be honest I like them ......I'm sure there will be some comments at Southampton on saturday :D

And no I am not going to lower it :D

p.s. I have got four good dunlop sp 205/55/16 tyres on steels if anyone wants to make an offer (car has done 7,000 on them so the rears are almost untouched )

And no I am not going to lower it :D

Go on you know you want to :P It would be fun to see a fully 'pimped up' superb :rofl::D

Nah I got rid of the Vrs because I couldn't go anywhere and I ended up with more tarmac on the bottom of it than the council owned.

When I get a chance I will take a pic and put it up .....but somebody keeps switching the sun off
