These may just fit you will struggle to mount any speaker that is more than 63mm mounting depth.

Any speaker from the likes of Focal, Hertz, morel, diamond, dls ect will be of a very good quality but it all depends on your requirements and budget.

Are you planning on seperately amplifying them?

If you're spending a good amount on the speakers, a separate amplifier is the only way to truly use them to their full potential.

And plenty of sound deadening

What head unit have you installed?

I've got Rainbow Audio components fitted by the chaps at Source Sounds in mine. I don't have a link but they were about £150. Remind me and you can have a listen when I catch you later this month ;-)

with a gtb2260 all diffed up slammed and mapped i don't mind the extra weight its a road car not track car

Just noticed the two cup holders on your car under the head unit mate, did you fit these and do you have the part number for them? Are they separate or is it a set or pair? I'd love to have a set like this in mine, was it a straight fit or did you have to modify it to make it fit?

Seem to remember there being a guide on here to fit them, perhaps try searching 'polo cup holders' or 'lupo cup holders'. I am sure I have seen a guide on them, keep your eyes peeled in the for sale section on here as a set crops up from time to time, or have a search on a VW forum maybe?
