At the dealers right now. The salesman just told me he has no way of knowing when the ship will set sail or arrive in the uk with all the cars newly built on.

Is anyone here in the know on when the ship will sail over.

I know it's not the complete answer you are after, however, I think the dealer should be able to tell you when it has been loaded on the ship and the name of the ship, then you could use an app such as Marine Traffic (other apps are available).

 

I am waiting for further news of my SCOUT which I know arrived at Emden on TUESDAY of this week.

Ems Highway got to Emdem this afternoon (back from Grimsby) and I guess will be loading up next

but that doesn't tell you what boat yours is on etc, so not a lot of use.....

 

mine was built last week and is due soon, I have resisted the urge to chase the dealers (so mine may be on the same boat as yours)..... instead I'm taking a 'it'll get here when it gets here' approach (whilst watching the shipping traffic    )

My vrs is being built this week and is due end of jan 15/feb 15 so with 2 weeks factory holiday i imagine start of jan 15.

I'm hoping to have it before Christmas as I'm driving over to Germany (The irony isn't lost on me ) with the wife and kids for the holidays, and was hoping to be able to do it in comfort and style.

Wish I still had my Bongo, I loved her so much.

Bongo is great.... But old rwd, auto, van on icy roads after wife has worked a night shift isn't quite as good as a octy 4x4 on winter tyres will be (with winter pack too) and the winters that I have won't fit the bongo

And parking can be a pain due to height.... etc etc, we've had it 8 years and it's uses are bus, camper and my car for weekends, but never really noticed the niggles like you do driving it every day

But then an octy won't seat 8 or sleep 4 :-)

I spoke to my dealer on Tuesday, he said the same to me then (still at Port of exit). He said he's gonna let me know by Friday.

I'm hoping my car was on the Schelde Highway transport that delivered to Grimsby yesterday.

I will put it on here when I get any news either way.

AFrican HIghway has just got back from SHeerness to Emden.  Hopefully with my car on it on one of those routes.

Mine was a 4x4 Bongo and would go through anything! I would throw my bike in and just go. So wish I still had her.

I too spoke with my dealer on Tuesday to be informed that my car was still in Emden, and unfortunately it wasn't going to be on the Schelde Highway either.  

I think I will have to resign myself to not now picking it up on Sat 27th as I had originally hoped to do.  Will now have to wait until at least Mon 5th Jan to collect due to unavoidable commitments. Will call the dealer later today though .....more in hope than expectation.

so Neckar Highway, EMS Highway and Schelde Highway are all queueing up at Grimsby.....

 

that must be about 3000 cars between them.....

 

maybe ours are in that 3000

Yes, my dealer called yesterday. Our Octavia Elegance 4x4 was ordered last weekend in October, dealer says they might have it next week in which case I might be able to take delivery before the end of the year. Not bad considering the dealer's original estimate was March!

Not heard anything :-(

Got told my car is in UK now

But, It's Christmas now and Customs aren't gonna be in a hurry. The dealers is closed until the 27th, and that's the day I'm driving to Germany :(

Oh well.

At least I have something to look forward to during the start on the New Year.

Got this from my dealer today "your has docked on Xmas Eve ,i just spoken to Ecm transport ,we are looking at a delivery next week but will ring on Friday to confirm a day."
