Service manual for a 4x4

Featured Replies

Hi,

does anyone have a copy (pdf, jpg) of the service manual.

I'm after knowing what is done at each service as i've just got mine at 120,000 & would like to see what i've got to look at. the last service was at 112,000 however the service mileage has got down to 0 - suspect / hope! they didn't reset it !

I'm at 61,000 miles and hoping to reach your 120K.

No Haynes maunal or official workshop manual uncovered so far.

One extra check you may wish to make is to examine all tranmsission oil seals. At approx 48K I noticed a drop of oil forming on the gearbox casing at the point where the shaft to the Haldex unit exits the gearbox. A new oil seal was replaced under warranty. It was a major task

Dealer advised this was not common and the only other gearbox seal to be found leaking up to that time was a drive shaft oil seal.

sorry should of been more clear...

What I'm after is what happens at each service..

i.e

10,000m change oil, check brakes

20,000m change filters, change oil.

60,000m change gearbox oil etc

I think there is a couple of pages in one of the books you get when you get this vehicle that tells you what happens at each service> this is the info i'm after.

Pop into your dealer and ask for a service sheet. All the current information you need.

If its not on Variable services are generally every 10,000 miles

If you have access to a fax PM me the number & I will photocopy my service manual & send it to you, sorry but I dont have a scanner,

Alternativly give me your address & I will post a copy.

If you need to chat my mobile is 07799 623693

Haven't you got a Service Schedule (ie service record) for your car with the various services recorded? In addition to recording date, mileage and dealer stamp for each service, that booklet has details of what is involved for the various types of service.
