Phone PIN Code Following Alarm

Featured Replies

Greetings all.

This morning, my car's alarm briefly went off with my son inside (motion sensor activation). Since then, my phone (Google Nexus 5/Android) will no longer connect to the car.

When I push the "PHONE" button on the Columbus unit, the screen displays a number pad and asks me for a PIN code (it will accept between 4 and 8 numerical digits).

It does not accept the phone's own code as being valid. I have not set a separate SIM code on the phone and am otherwise not sure what to do next. I have tried various codes, all to no avail.

The rest of the Columbus unit works fine (radio/SatNav, etc).

Very grateful indeed for any thoughts.

Sounds like it is asking you to pair your phone to the car again.

I ended up rebooting the Columbus unit and that seems to have sorted the problem - didn't end up needing to pair the phone again. Strange, and hopefully won't happen again.
