Just changed battery as the car would not start. Now check engine light is on when running is this normal after battery change?

Not heard of it before.perhaps check fuses/connections on top of battery.

I didn't quite connect the plug back together on side of battery casing. And thanks for offers but getting plugged in tomorrow by a very helpful mechanic I know
