Finally got a mk2 Octy Very happy :-)

Featured Replies

Picked up my new motor yesterday 2008/58 ambiente estate 2.0 PD BKD engine, ex police owned, 172k i couldnt believe how well it ran when i collected it last night, i got it with a full 12 months mot near new goodyears, and only paid 2k for it :-)

Plenty of things to do as the police have left a few holes but i was always gonna upgrade where i can anyway.

needs a stereo, a headlining as has been strobes fitted, few bits of trim where lights have been, but overall its in excellent condition, and by driving it you can immediately feel how well its been maintained.

I plan on adding some Vrs extras as i wanted a vrs originally but funds wouldnt allow for one.

Will no doubt be posting a fair bit shortly asking for help with upgrades etc, planning maxidot, multimedia unit (bolero or other) poss bluetooth,

Also i currently have aux heater panel is there a straightforward way of changing to climate control?

Cheers

Cheers mike, I also have full vcds as ive been around the vag scene for some time, owning various golf's leon's audi's so its always came in handy,

Is there not a single zone digital climate control? i wasnt going to upgrade for any benefit other than aesthetics as i find the digital a bit more visually appealing, but if its uneconomical ill leave that one lie, main things to do as soon as possible are to replace headlining, and dash and fit a stereo as im currently with a holey dash holey headliner and no stereo (although i have a cd changer in the boot)
