Hi guys, just bought a Skoda fabia Monte Carlo 1.2 tsi in red a couple of weeks back, love it! Massive upgrade from my 2003 Ford Focus [emoji23] thinking about a remap and dump valve.. Anyone for any feedback? Much appreciated!

Dont think anybodys got a dump valve yet, but there was talk of somebody doing one recently.

The 1.2 tsi will map up to around 130bhp.

The 86 and 105ps versions are both exactly the same apart from the map. so itll be 130 whichever variant youve got.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I've got the 105bhp one mate. It's bloody brilliant! Does look a little high maybe but I can always look into lowering it one day haha.

Haha yeah. They all come with the 4x4 arch gap as standard im afraid.

Plenty of options though. One manufacturer is even skoda approved so keeps the warranty in the car. Eibach maybe

Its a nice car, but i get my thrills elsewhere if you know what i mean. So im not fussed about making the ride harder

Since this is a thread on a monte carlo same as mine, can i ask if someone knows for sure if my car has canbus..? Monte carlo 1.2tsi 63 reg. the reason i ask is because i fitted a non canbus reversing led light and nothing has come up on my dash board..can i order some non canbus led sidelights with the hope i won't get an error? As i'm confused as to whether it's even canbus

I've had a warning on my 2013 before.

It depends how much power the LED reversing light uses as to if itll trigger the canbus.

Hm strange i never got an error, it's a 50smd led so quite powerful i would have thought. Just ordered some w5w t10 led sidelights but non canbus for £1.99 a pair so hope they don't give me a warning..

Not sure exactly what it gives warnings on.

You might find it does do with the sidelights.

The sidelights will use less power than the reversing light. Just think about the brightness they give.

You couldnt see to reverse with a sidelight could ya...
