Hi all Skoda Fans

My name is Tony I have just purchased a W reg Dark green 2.0litre petrol Skoda Octavia Estate Mk1 to replace my Citroen Picasso 2.0 diesel which will run out of MOT in January and be too costly to repair /replace...much to the disappointment of the kids and myself to be honest.

My wife has had various Skoda's for a number of years Estelle, Favorit and Felicias.

As for myself my only claim to fame was being instrumental in introducing Skoda to the Emergency services, sadly my own organisation decided to stick with Fords and I didn't get a freebie for all the work....BUT to be fair had a few jolly's and I am pleased to see that Skoda has made considerable in roads over the years.

Perhaps my only slight disappointment is that they have priced themselves up with the mainstream manufacturers.

This being said I bought this car pretty cheap £200 bodywork and interior it is in very good condition although some age related problems as expected, but of course it has some problems which thanks to this site I am happily working through...well when the suns out! E.g. Rear windows not working, drivers door lock knackered, boot not opening etc...silly fiddly things

Regards

Tony
