Inner Front Wing - not spotted before

Featured Replies

Maybe it's me, but had the front wheels off yesterday for a good clean and I noticed a hole in the front of the inner wing. It's the same both sides. The thing is I can't recall spotting it before.

Has someone nicked the covers or has it always been like this.

My money is on aerodynamic or acoustic reasons for it. Mine has them too!

Let direct air in as oposed to turbulant not direct air for the brakes is my guess.

It's not just you; I've had mine 18 months and only noticed the other day - had to check the other side to make sure something hadn't fallen off. (Unless they both have ... )

Had the car for two and a half years. Can't believe I am still finding things out.

It's there for aerodynamic reasons, to reduce drag (reduction of CW value).

It's normal.

Air cooling for the brakes.

My 1.4L has both front brake air ducks blanked off with (removable) plastic covers.
