Which oil is best for my 1.2tsi Monte?

Hi,

On the engine it says Castrol oil is recommended (i think it's Castrol anyway) but there are a few types of Castrol oil such as performance ones and more budget ones. I want one that is best for my engine and will keep it in tip top shape so can someone help out?

Brand of oil is your choice but the specification needs to correct. Use a VW 504 00 specification oil if on variable service intervals. For fixed service intervals use a VW 502 00 spec oil - or a 504 00 oil if you so wish and think it worth paying the extra cost.
