thats a remapped 86 bhp version, but the results should be the same for yours, as thats just a detuned version of yours :)

Looks good, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

you will likely feel the benefits via in gear performance more than acceleration from standing start.

What do you mean? As in it would change through the gears quicker or?

Acceleration in each gear would be quicker, it wouldn't change the gears quicker

Not my map , I have a vRS , borrowed that pic from another thread, but the 1.2 does respond well to a Map

That picture of the graph above is my car.. Which I posted on another thread.

I got a great gain. Yours should see around the same...

I paid £359,99. At AutoSpecialists over in Essex. It's a Revo map, which they tweak.

But downside is i had that done in a 25% offer.. Which ends in January. After that I think it goes up to £499 without VAT...

But it's deffiently worth it! Especially for the 86Versions.

With a remap of a forced induction engine, the basic idea is to increase boost pressure, maybe distribute the boost better throughout the rev range and increase and optimise fuelling.

Although you will get an increase in overall power (BHP figure) the real benefit is the increase in torque and the way it is delivered. It will feel more powerful due to the torque although the actual increase in power will less noticable in reality.
