Black leather headrest repair or replacement.

Featured Replies

Hi all, time for my Superb to go back after 3 great years. During that time it had the Columbus replace within the first couple of months and more recently at around 50,000 the water pump was replaced (I was told by the VAG recovery guy that it is a problem with the early 1.6 diesels but fixed in 2013, it's the seal that fails and around 50,000!).

Now to the point of this post.... As the car is going back to Lex I need to either replace or repair one of the rear black headrests which the dog seems to have got at, anyone have a spare one (unlikely) or know where I can either get one or have it repaired. I'm in Surrey but don't mind sending it away if someone has a recommendation.

By the way going for a Yeti next.

Do you cop the replacement cost as the driver or does your company / lease company? They are renowned for over charging.

Part number will be something like 3T0885901M HWX

Might be able to get one via eBay?

Don't do it, stay with the Super B you will regret it !!!!

I've had two Yeti's petrol and a diesel nice neither a patch on the Super B.

You could move the rear middle one over to where the chewed one is, then put whatever you can get your hands on (within reason) in the rear middle.

There are a couple of mk1 superb black leather headrests on eBay at the moment for less than £20 - slightly different shape though, and I'm only assuming that it will fit.
