Noobish battery question

Featured Replies

If '9DE22-1' is printed on the upper side of my Tudor TB500 battery, does this mean it's dating from 2001 ?  :nerd: It's still working like new ..  :notme:

Unless it has a VW-group part number on the top of it, I doubt it is that old. Is this a 2001 car?

In the last year I have changed two batteries for friends with 04 Fabia and Polos respectively, both had VAG part numbers on, so I assume they were 10 year old factory-fitted items. Can't be many people that would go to Skoda/VW for a replacement battery, can there?
