I acquired this car about three months ago from someone who was giving up driving and had always promised me that he would give me the first chance to buy it.

It is mechanically excellent and bodywise is sound but starting to show signs of rust - some on the rear arches and some on the front doors.

When I first got it I had it checked over and got it an MOT which runs until Late October 2015.

It drives well and always starts first time.

It doesn't use any oil or water.

It is sportline red with steel wheels with felicia type centre hubcaps.

I know it had a new brake master cylinder recently.

I was going to spend the spring restoring it to as new condition - but there have been redundancies where I work and although I still have a job my hours have been cut significantly from January 1st so I can no longer afford to run it and restore it.

All I am asking for is what I paid for it in terms of purchasing it originally and getting it through it's MOT

The car is in Kempston, Bedford

Ooh these are super rare now, if it were a hatchback I'd have snapped your arm off for it.. Good luck.

There is a hatch on eBay at the moment - I don't know what it is like.

The strange thing is the car on eBay is L253HNE - a number of years ago I owned L251HNE which was a favourite Lxi hatch in red

Pictures now added - if anyone needs any more pictures or any more info about the car please just ask

Need the car gone before end of year - will accept sensible offers for it from someone who will love it and look after it - would rather  get less for it from someone on this forum who will treat the old girl with respect than sell it on eBay to someone who will abuse it and end up scrapping it
