Ive just replace my rear drivers side lock for a 2nd hand part. after many hours of screaming at it, its all back together.  Will I have to get it plugged in to vcds for the new part, as at the moment the car won't lock on this door.  its making all the right noises but when pulling on the handle the car opens and the alarm kicks off. I hope that the part I have replaced is ok and the micro switches aren't knackered?

Sounds like the part could be faulty. Was the old one doing the same thing?

This happened to me with a brand new lock.  Car would not double lock either and all the doors would lock except the new lock which would unlock again.  If i tried to open the door the alarms would go off.
