My work phone is as above, currently using it via WiFi instead of my own Nokia brick as its easier for browsing.

Problem is, trying to watch videos on it via internet explorer, eg the driver record thread, and it freaks out if i pause, resize the screen or scroll, ill get dozens of tiles of a corner of the screen, followed by screen flicker and the phone hangs eventually catching up after pressing the main screen back up button.

Pi55ing me off now, allegedly its up to date sofware wise, but anybody got any ideas?

is it just when watching videos on this site?  in my experience the forum software doesn't always play nicely with IE11 (who's fault that is, is not up to me).

i've had no problems watching videos on other sites in IE, but i'm wondering if its because that particular thread has so many videos it just can't handle it- trying to download the placeholder, image etc.

 

just tried on my 930 and its looks ok, so suggests a processing power/ram issue. the mobile version of the site is showing the videos in the desktop version to start with, which isn't going to help. they eventually get resized by IE and all looks ok again.

i take it you are going to the mobile site and have got IE to show mobile versions of websites?

I have phone set to show full version of sites as most mobile versions are crap.

It could be the number/size of videos killing the processor, as it tends to only happen,generally, on threads with videos.

PITA is its my work issued phone,so I cant install any apps... Tried tapatalk and it just ran in circles for 5mins before cancelling itself. Reckon the company iIT setup has it blocked. Roll on arrival of the new Galaxy Tab S... Something decent other than laptop to browse on!!!

switch to mobile view and give that a try. tapatalk support was disabled by Colin for all devices recently so it's not just you that its not loading for.

no, twas after Colin reactivated tapatalk. I'll reset the mobile view, see kf kt makes any difference.

And, finally after ordering on Dec 29th, my shiny new Samsung Galaxy Tab S arrived!!

Light as a feather, overall excellent so far.

Just have to test it on the video threads!!!
