Does anyone have  any info for an inexpensive option for rear dampers for a 98 Pick Up

 

There seems lots of various options on Internet but many with spring retainers etc which are not needed on mine.  Some also seem quite expensive compared to other vehicles.    Not after performance just a replacement for MOT after I have extensive rear arch welding done

 

Any ideas welcome, poss options off some other vehicle?

 

 

Genuine ones from the skoda dealer are about £35 each if I recall. You can just use hatchback ones if you are doing a really dirty cheap fix, they are the same except the spring platform.

If I do use hatchback ones, is it best to just cut off the platforms or enough space here to leave alone?   

Leave them be, it will be fine.
