vRS brake pads and disc question

Featured Replies

Hello,

Trading in my Fabia vRS for the mk2 Fabia vRS....

I want to take my front 312mm off the mk1 but I don't have the discs and pads for standard calipers and carriers....

Anyone tell me the disc size and type of pads needed...

Pictures would be best!

One of my mates is changing the discs and pads on a 1.9 audi A3 and I was thinking they might be the right size for the vRS but clueless!

Cheers,

Andrew.

Think the standard disc size on the front is 288mm but unsure on which pads.

Just go to any car part shop and give them reg. They should tell you .

Enter your reg onto euro car parts and it will tell you.

Depends which A3 but they should be the same is it's the 5 x 100 wheel stud.

I ended up past the scrappys with a mate today... mk4 golf GTi there... Hoping it's the same kind of pads!

Sounds like you just want a challenge, good luck!

Challenge = Fail!

I leave everything last minute lol.

The discs are correct, pads are different.

However... Can get pads today but I don't have nor do I know what type of thread the caliper mounting bolts are....

Can anyone help? I think the pads will come with 2 but I need 4!

Try VAG TPS . www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/

Nearest one to you comes up as Aberdeen. I got a new one from my local place for mine when I had the threads coiled. Cost -about £14 for mine.
