I have booooooooost!

Featured Replies

:woohoo:

Finally got the PD130 boost sensor fitted, with some minor gasket manufacturing. :D Now I have a LOT of boost, and finally limp mode is a thing of the past.

Took mate for a test drive and he witnessed about 1.55 bar peak boost at one point. I wasn't watching the guage. I was watching the road, with a big :D on my face. ;)

So, it should be good on the 8th. Bearing in mind its a "standard map" PD130 engine, it feels faster than my Jabba'd PD100 ever did, but only just. I reckon 155bhp, maybe a smidge less.

The TSR rolling road day will find out for sure, then its off for a remap.

Damn, I love my car again! :thumbup:

Excellent news Jason.

I'll be looking forward to seeing it when it's been remapped

Great news Jason :thumbup::D

See you at TSR next weekend.

excellent news Jason. 1.55bar. Nice. Stock boost is 1.35bar. Assume boost is higher due to your exhaust.

brilliant news mate :thumbup: good luck with the rolling road :)

Not sure - but the hybrid itself must be playing a part. It sounds more than just a whistle... :D I guess the decat is playing a part too. :)

It in theory it shouldnt produce any more boost as it is electronically controlled.

But glad to see its boosting finally J, one step closer.

What faults you got left now?

Faults are lessening - Just did a check, and the engine light is now out despite it still having some faults in the 01 engine section. Guess the boost sensor was what was putting it out. There's more to sort, but in time....

Hmm surprised boost is quite that high, but nice job on getting some (boost ;)) in the end :D
