I need to order a new battery today. Mine is 7 years old now and struggles to start on cold mornings.

I have found the Bosch S5 has good reviews on here but there are two to choose from and I'm unsure which is correct.

The S5 that has the better ratings is 15mm higher than the other S5. Will that make any difference?

My vRS se has the terminal board ontop of the current battery for all the various components.

If someone has the part number of the one I beed or a link I'd be super grateful.

Get the e44 varta silver from tayna. Same battery as the bosch s5 but around £20 cheaper.

Bosch works out at £78.99 after discount. Size is the same on both units. So should be ok.

I replaced mine with a Bosch S5 Silver 096 just under 4 years ago. That new battery failed last month and was replaced under its 5 year warranty FOC by Halfords. The replacement is a similarly sized Yuasa Silver HSB096 which also comes with a 5 year warranty, although in my case it is only covered for replacement until the original Bosch warranty expires. You will find that with these larger batteries the original thermal blanket is not long enough to fit around the whole battery. Thre are no problems with mounting or connections.
