vrs eml on, no symptoms

Featured Replies

Just started my car and the engone management light is on but can't hear or feel any problems. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Need to plug it in.

Maybe a dodgy glow plug?

Ok cool, seems to start ok although the glow plug light has taken longer to go out this winter compared to last!

Need to plug a diagnostic device into the obd port to see what the fault code is.

Mines been running on 3 plugs (one is snapped) for 2 winters now. Never had a problem starting even on the coldest mornings and if it wasn't for the eml you wouldn't know.

If anyone knows of a cheap easy way to remove a snapped plug without the possibility of totally f in up let me know.

So your eml has been on the whole time?? or been mapped out ? :p

Nah I have an obd reader so I can turn it off I did it every morning for 6 month the light even stayed off for 4 month once but it always comes back obviously so I just live with it.

I wonder if some kind of relay could be made to fool the car into thinking it's ok?
