Dashboard squeaks

Featured Replies

Hi

Just got my Octy back from repair shop, where they fitted footwell lights. I also made a complaint about squeaks coming from passenger side of the dashboard. As the problem is sensitive to temperature changes, obviously they couldn't find anything to fix :(

Seems like the sound is coming from the horizontal joint between upper and  lower parts of the dashboard. Tried already silicone spray, but no such luck. Suggestions appreciated.

Once my glovebox rattled in cold temps, check that.

Some things to check from other posts:

    - Sunglasses holder can sound like passenger side rattle

    - Plastic covering on the outside of the windscreen can "click" sometimes in high wind/speed.

    - My drivers side (european car) air vent also makes a rattle sound which dissapears when I hold  the mechanism (dealer investigating at next service)
