Hello, i recently bought an 06 octavia tdi and i'm having trouble with the heater since i bought it

 

It is climate control, i can turn the fan on and hear it making noise, as much noise as there should be a decent blow, yet out of no vent, nor footwell or at windscreen is there any air blowing

There is the faintest wiff of heat coming out, i've tried the controls with all different positions and at no time it there a blow of air comming

 

I'm going to get into the fan on monday and see if anything is blocking it or see if there is flaps not working, maby look at the polen filter too.

If anyone has any sugestions or known problems, i'd appreciate any help

 

I'd suggest resetting it all first - is it climate control?  if so ignition on (no engine) and hold econ and the bottom right button together (IIRC if not do a search on here - t might be bottom left) on the panel of four on the AC controls - this should start the reset and cycle the flaps through and reset the alignment.  They sometimes jam a bit...

i'll give it ago as soon as herself comes back from town

I've tried that and it's made no difference

 

It's key on (not engine running) ECON and air recirculate button together for a few sec to do it

Hi my octovia 2.0 dash vent (windscreen air outlet) is blocked. So in raining weather i cant drive as windscreen steams.

I just noticed one of the small piece of middle outlet (near emergency button) is broken. I think it's gone down and blocked the air hose for windscreen.

When i press the button for windscreen the air just blowing from the two side outlets ( near door windows) no button makes the air going to windscreen.

Any idea please. Thanks

Plug into VCDS, you can do flap alignment tests. Maybe flap motor stuck. Where are you? Maybe someone can assist. If your local to me I'd be happy to help out

I had the same issue with an Astra van I bought and it turned out to be a badly blocked pollen filter. It surprised me how little air came out tbh.

Hi sorry for late reply. I took out the middle outlet the flap motor is turning when i press each button.

I checked the pollen filter its clean as i replaced 3 moths ago.

Im around west bromwhich birmingham b71 2.

I just forgot to mentiona rattaling noise ,about a month ago sometimes i could hear a loud rattaling for a 2 or 3 seconds from somewhere back of radio that time it wasnt blocked worked fine. But now that rattaling stoped havent heard for a while. Thanks a lot im waiting for ur reply
