My car recently failed it's annual MOT test.

One of the failure points relates to the fact that the off-side rear door wiil not open.

Has anyone any advice as to the best method to tackle this problem at the minimum cost?

Can I gain access to the internal door mechanism or should I take it to a recommended dealer?
