I've got some standard VRS alloys, which are on 205 45 ZR16 tyres.

 

What's the significance of the Z in ZR as when looking for tyres not many come up at that size but I
can find loads that are 205 45 R16, do they need to be ZR's?

ZR means the tyres are rated to 149mph (faster than your car will go).

I always thought the speed rating came after the rim size, hence the question. goes to show what I know then. Thanks for speedy answer.
