Shark STS unit

Featured Replies

Unlocked after using with my FL Octy vRS II, in box with the OBD cable and even some bubble wrap protection for that premium nearly new experience. Can't use it with my Cupra, so open to sensible offers.

The forum rules prefer you to supply a price. May be interested dependent on what that is.

£50 so that's 33% of the normal price. How does that sound? Drop me a PM

How does this work?

Shark are in the final stages of testing the sts on the cr170. When they start selling it you plug the sts unit in the obd port, download your standard map, then email it to shark. They then email you the stage 1 map which you load on to the sts unit, plug it back into your odb port and upload it. You can also put it back to standard when ever you wish....not that I've looked into doing it myself LOL.

So you can turn the map off when taking it the garage, long stay carpark etc when someone else might be driving it. Takes about 2 minutes to swap maps once they're on the STS unit.

The STS works on a whole bunch of ECU's already.

I think the Yeti CR170 engines require a different, newer STS unit.

I read that somewhere in a post from Shark themselves on this forum, but can't find the link.

EDIT: Found it!

PM'd.

The STS works on a whole bunch of ECU's already.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to dis the unit you have for sale-my post was aimed at Chris as I know he has the cr170 and that when I looked at this last year the ecu encryption hadn't been cracked, but that shark are on the verge of launching the sts option.

Where are you located Steve?
