Can now remap the Yeti without removing the ecu

Featured Replies

Both Revo and CMD have now issued maps which can be flashed through the OBD2 port, previously the ecu had to be removed and opened to turn the encryption off.

So the dual channel tuning box has gone to a friend in France for their 110 Yeti.

Much smoother and a more realistic fuel consumption figure.

CMD don't make maps, just the tools. This has been the case for months at Shark!

True but they've worked out with with a couple of other tuners how to circumvent the ecu security.

My DTUK box screws up the mfd fuel consumption figures.....seems they all do?

Yes they do, the ecu sends a specified amount of fuel per cycle which is how the mpg is calculated, the tuning box then sends a different amont, so the maths never add up.

Mine says I get better economy at 100kph than at 80 ~ 3.6 v 4.1

I doubt engine efficiency is that much better at speed.

Does that include maps for the CR170 ?

Revo have maps for the 110, 140 and 170.

Sorry, my question was aimed at Shark...

Does that include maps for the CR170 ?

It does on the Yeti yes, 110, 140 and 170 STS solution in the pipeline and final testing for release in the new year!

Does it need a new STS unit, or would an older used/second-hand STS work ?

s/h sts units can re used... providing the car it was used on previously has been returned to std.

It's new hardware, so a new STS would be required.

I remember that Ben. That was fun. The pioneering days of modifying a Yeti [emoji41]

How long will it be before I head along the A60 from Ravenshead to a little wonderland off Chesterfield Road............

I re-mapped my previous Ford Focus diesel using a Bluefin unit, all the exchanging of maps with the tuners being done from home via email. Will this be the same system with the STS unit for a Yeti CR140 when it is released?

Of course.

And if you give them your home address they send cases of Guinness every week...

I suspect a Nissan Leaf will do that now.....

It's coming.

0-62 in around 3sec if it's the 4WD Tesla AND with 400+km range.
