Has anyone retrofitted a front centre arm rest, or made their own?

In old money, 5 1/2 inches by 3, or 140mm x 75mm, overall. The frame is about 5mm all round. Not quite big enough for my Nexus 5 to go all the way in, but good enough. Very Handy for tickets, a couple of banknotes, etc. They also needed extra sticky tape - I used Unibond No More Nails - you can get it on a small roll. Works great. This is the link, but there are others out there.

It's like most search engines - they never work right until you get used t them (and 2nd guess some of the terms people might use in posts)
