boot opening while car is running

Featured Replies

How can we get the boot to open while the car is running? I recently went to platy golf and the caddy wanted to open my boot as I drove in.... the boot release button doesnt work when the car is running?

RTFM!

This manual will explain you that this is to prevent theft. It also tells you that if you first open the driver's door, the boot release button does work.

If you have the anti-hijack feature enabled the car locks all doors when you set off. The doors (including the boot) stay locked until the drivers door is opened or the keys are removed from the ignition.

You can also hit the unlock button next to the door handles, this opens all doors and the boot with the engine running.

Alternatively turn off the anti-hijack and all doors will be open all of the time unless you lock them manually.

I don't have anti-hijacking enabled, so my doors can always be opened, but the boot is always locked (until I open de drivers door).

On mine the boot release button does work from inside when the engine is running but you have to press the button on the boot lid after to open it or I open a door and close it then press the button on the boot lid.
