Skoda Yeti Production, Kvasiny 2014

Featured Replies

Is that an Octavia in front of the 2 Yeti's at 2:51 ?  I always presumed that each model had it's own production line.

That's the Superb liftback I think.

Anyone know what's being done with the hoses in the engine bay at 3:14-3:20 ?

Seems a lot easier to put together than to take apart!

I'd say it's filling something, probably air con.

I think that nowadays, with common components across the whole model range, the lines can be multi model. Each vehicle comes with a barcoded build card which is read at the start of the assembly line that tells the central computer which parts to deliver to which line and at what time. The assembly tools are standard so the workers don't know. and probably don't care, until the vehicle arrives at their station. Also less repetitive for the worker so less stress, the robots also don't care!
