With no O.E.M. items coming up on eBay I took  the plunge and ordered one form my local dealer on Thursday which they ordered and received on the Friday for me the price is £140.00 including the dreaded VAT,

 

The Skoda Part Number is DAO700001 and it fits all Models of New Fabia & Roomster 2007/08 > 2014 so don't be confused when the instruction state it's for a Roomster! 

 

Skoda do include fitting instructions that are easy to follow however they do make things difficult by using Torx heads on the 4-screws that secure the mounting block to the vehicle floor (the bolt holes are already there) an Allen head on the bolt that secures the adapter that fits to the spigot on the Arm Rest and a 13mm Socket/Spanner for the bolt that secures the Arm Rest to the mounting block. 

 

The longest part was working out how to remove the rubber mat in the Cup Holder at the rear of the Centre Console to remove the Torx headed screw that secures the Centre Console to the vehicle floor (just push down in the centre of the rubber mat and you can lift it out!).

 

The plastic side covers do take a bit of fitting but one in and clipped into position the complete assembly looks like it was fitted in the factory with no gaps to be seen.

 

All in it took 45-minutes to fit and providing you have the relevant Torx and Allen keys and the 13mm socket/spanner it's well within most owners capabilities

It's great and well worth the effort

I only managed put 3 out of the 4 bolt in, had no problems and secured tightly.

I really need to sort one out for myself. So expensive aren't they! The non official ones on eBay look pants though so looks like skoda one is the one to go for :-)

Expensive but worth it IMO

My left elbow would feel lost without it now haha.

Also, my dogs seat belt lead stretches just far enough so he can get his front legs on it and watch where he is going.

Would anyone be able to post a picture of it fitted to their monte? I do a lot of long journeys and feel an armrest would be perfect but want to make sure black will look ok against the grey seats (petty I know)
