Fabia green line 2 : does this have an egr valve?

Featured Replies

Our 2010 Fabia green line 2 estate died. 49 000 miles. Three cylinder 1.2 turbo diesel. Towed to local garage which tells us egr valve fault.

Quote to repair is £600.

Conflicting info as to whether this model actually has an egr valve?

Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear you have an issue. Yes your car has an EGR valve. All diesels have these, as do nearly all petrol engine cars. But on diesels engines the egr gets a hard life. Usually though, they are very reliable if the car is driven and used correctly. It may just be yours needs a good clean up. But if the electrics that control it are gone then that's another matter. I can only suggest you get another quote for the problem to be fixed. Don't take the first one that comes along unless you know the dealer/mechanic is reputable.
