CarPro Ceriglass Glass Polish

Featured Replies

Need a bit of advice regarding this product. The other day whilst driving home in the dark, I had a Tree branch hit the passenger side of my Yeti not very hard but it has left a mark on the C Pillar ( darkened glass). It is not a scratch ( ran my fingernail over it and no indentation) but more like a 2 inch long blur in the glass. Have not tried anything on it yet because of the bad weather so when we get some decent weather I will inspect it in more detail. I have gone back through the threads on Style forum and the best option I can get is to try either Jewellers Rouge or Carpro Ceriglass ( which I have ordered). Can anyone on the forum give me  advice on these products and point me in the right direction. Not a big issue but one of these that niggles me ( you see it in some light and in other light you can,t see it).

Regards Tony

I'm not familiar with the Yeti, is it definitely glass? Or is it hardened plastic?

Ceriglass is very harsh & would probably damage anything other than glass.

If it is glass then you will probably need to use a machine polisher. If it's plastic then try a polish by hand on a tri-foam applicator, something like Gtechniq P1.

I believe youll find the C pillar is a plastic cover rather than glass

Could be wrong

If it is, then an aggressive polish may well ruin it

How about asking in the Yeti Section?

I can confirm it is a plastic cover, mine is always full of swirls, it's something I have to keep on top of.

If you have a machine polisher tony try that, it works well for me.

Thanks CarL

I thought so.

Glass polish is NOT what you need manxskoda

If you have some polish and a hand polishing pad, that will do

As it has been confirmed it is plastic I'd try Gtechniq P1 as per post #2

Chris thank you very much for your advice.I used AutoGlymm super resin polish and buffed off with a micro fibre cloth, and clarity was restored.

Good job Tony
