Drivers window drop

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My mk1 fabia vRS drivers window dropped over the weekend.

Can anyone advise on how hard it is to repair myself?

Recall its a common issue...

Anyone?

You need to take the door ancillaries carrier off. Depending on the age of your car, the carrier will be either riveted or bolted to the door. If riveted you will have to drill out the rivets and fit new ones. You can either replace the regulator mechanism or buy a complete new carrier with regulator already assembled on it but you'll need to swap over your speaker and other stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-MK1-1999-2007-ELECTRIC-WINDOW-REGULATOR-FRONT-RIGHT-DRIVER-SIDE-/121352981365?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFabia&hash=item1c41338b75

Thanks for this.

Definitely a job for someone who knows what they are doing.
