Stone chip on the centre of the bonnet!

Featured Replies

3 months old Skoda Octivia VRS- Metallic Grey Metal and I have received a small stone chip, dead centre of the bonnet, which is now showing the metal of the bonnet. I'm worried about it rusting, any suggestions... Shall I get it sprayed or touched up?

I know being sprayed will cost a fortune and having it touched up won't give the same professional effect as it being sprayed, but however is well cheaper.

What has anybody done in this type of situation

I usually touch up until I have a few and then get a pro to look at it and spray if required.

You'd be amazed what a detailer can fix tho!

I'll probably do that then mate. Cheers, so annoying to see, especially when it's a new car.

I reversed into a brick wall yesterday mate, so I'm really annoyed right now!!

I'm in exactly the same situation and it's driving me nuts! the weather is not good enough to allow me to sort it. So as a interim solution and to protect it I make sure the car is sealed and waxed with a good quality carnauba wax which should offer some protection until I can repair it.
