Hi all

i was round the corner from my houce wen the back end steped out on a corner at 15-20mph, i tryed to catch it but couldnt, i hit the curb with a bang and now my back wheel is bent inward at the bottom, hopeing it will be the stub acsale thats bent but think it might b the beam, does any one no how to chang a beam, and how ti tell if its bent? Getting bussy with it tomorow wen the sun's out..

I have a new one at my unit for £75 of you want ready to go with polybushes new clips and new brake lines

I imagine winter tyres would be quite cheap compared.

its not good like, think it is the beam, wont beable to swap the beam out by monday, does it need to b a vrs beam or can i fit any mk1 octavia one?

Elegance tdi is the same

got busy today and it turns out my beam is bent to hell n back,

managed to get a vrs beam with all the brakes still on it for£70, picking it up tomorow, wat a misson!!!

you had bearings on the new beam?Nice job in these conditions....I don't even bother to check the oil on this weather.

sadly its is a road side fix, my garage is full of the little girls summer toys, thanks for the kind words hopefully thay will help from freezing to death lol

Rotten luck; I've only lost the back of mine twice in 9 years, and both times that was in snow too.
