How unlucky can you get?

Featured Replies

Seems other people are averaging out the fact I hardly ever get punctures.  I actually can't remember the last.  Was doing my usual "Drop 2 wheels & tyres in" to my local tyre shop when someone drove in who had just driven out an hour ago with brand new front tyres, and there was a whopping big bolt in one of them!  ONE HOUR OLD!  and new tyre time!  Would you adam and eve it??!  :)

Amateur.  72 hours is nothing compared to 1  ;)

that's only 1.3% as bad :nerd:

An dear :(.

Poor guy

The bolt was probably from the tyre fitters own floor!

The amount of old valves you see littered about the place, must generate plenty of repeat business for the tyre place!

Well I went to get the tyre repaired today but the 500m slow drive to a safe place to park up has knackered the side wall...so I am lowing the average!

My brother got a 'part worn' on his bike last summer. It was brand new, the bloke bought it, rode it home 5 miles and got a nail in it. Put the bike in his van, took it back and got another brand new one.

I changed both my front tyres due to wear, 2 days later the wife decided to mount a kerb at speed and punctured one of the new tyre's. So i know how you feel.

A few years ago I changed all four tyres on my Civic. Within a month someone decided to put a screwdriver through two of the sidewalls. Over 50 cars were targeted that night. Front and back, on whatever side was near to the pavement.

Shortly after whilst at work, I took a phonecall from a woman in the local Married Quarters complaining her two front tyres had been slashed. She only noticed after she had driven her children to school and was wondering why other drivers were flashing their lights at her.
