Hi I have a 2004 vrs 1.8t I bought car with a misfire on cylinder 1 p0310 I have found that it cylinder 1 had a a coil pack that was the ones being recalled but only the that 1 :-( I have Just changed all spark plugs and i bought a brand new coil for cylinder 1 and alas after clearing the error it has come back.. was after your thoughts what's my next move?

Change coil and plug from cylinder 2 to 1. Erase fault. Run the car see if it moves ? Also does your car have an ignition transformer near the air mass meter? If so check the wiring colours from coil one to tranformer and make sure it has a voltage?

Thank you I'll give y'day a go and I'll take a look. The sparks in all cylinders are all brand new yesterday would there be value in changing them over?
