Not yet but as my headlight adjuster motor has gone spastic i feel the need to upgrade so i might get some in the near future :D

Will post pics if i do it!

Road and Sport Developments do the kit....

IMO i think they look pap...and always very expensive... id say a better investment woudl be xeons for your orginal headlights

Not sure if that would be possible due to main/dipped both using the same lamp on the Octy. It's pretty simple on the Golf as it uses seperate lamps.

if its not possible why is it an option on new models?

Sorry I thought you were talking about retro fitting the lamps and ballasts into the existing housing's using a kit like those available from VAGparts rather than changing the complete units as assuming the complete unit is similar priced to the Golf they're around

you can now buy xenon bulbs that you fit to the standard headlights. Not sure of the exact product but i got a freind fitting them to his Furby vRS. Will post when i have the details

You can buy Xenon-like bulbs, it's not the same as a Xenon-system which has high-voltage etc etc.

It is still a very worthwhile upgrade though, I used to buy the extra-bright daylight-equivalent bulbs rather than Xenon-alike ones, but they should be good too :)

Pimpster has done a Xenon conversion on his Octy RS, looks fantastic and he said it wasn't too tricky either.

Think the kits can be bought for around

Rally Bulbs are a lot cheaper, Xenon can only be used on dip,so you dont gain any better main beam

Xenon takes a few seconds to come on therefore you cant flash main beam which I believe is illegal, hence no Xenon main beams as std, this is what Ive been told anyway

I'd be interested in this kit as I was under the impression it couldn't be done when you have dual element lamps as standard. Is this a bi-xenon kit that also has a main beam replacement?

Pimpster will fill you in with the details but i belive it repalces all the oem bulb set up...leaving you with lots of blinding white light...
