Please does anyone know what the star sockets are called that hold in the Octavia rear door locks - and what size? I have a set of Torx keys but they have too few splines.

Hello, you answered your own question there.  they are called splines..  You have hex, torx, then splines which come in M sizes.  Hope this helps

Yeah its an M8 spline, they're sometimes called XZN which might make an eBay search easier.
