I'm used to Vauxhall engines, so have no real idea of what's what in a VAG engine.  Anyone got any links to guides/image/manuals etc so I can increase my knowledge?

Thanks all. Right now, I don't even know where the turbo is.  I'm not trying to become an overnight mechanic or anything, I just like to snoop around and know roughly what's what.

Has anyone got any images jsut outlining all the main components of the engine? Like where the turbo is, coil pack, what all the pipes do etc?

An engine code would be useful if we are to help you.
