Haldex/ESP problems!

Featured Replies

Hey !

I have had problems with ESP off for a while on my Octavia 2.0FSI 4x4 - 2005.

I have been to VAG to check the fault codes.

The error codes who I think may relate to this , are:

448 pump for Haldex coupling, defect sporadically, and:

1324 Control unit for four-wheel drive, sporadically

The error started so that ESP lamp was lit at times during the journey, and it was enough to turn off the ignition switch to get it to work again ..

It came more and more frequently , eventually to not disappear at all.

But , very rare , the ESP lamp stays of for a while, but eventually it lights up again and don’t disapear .

Spontaneously, this feels like a loose connection somewhere ?

Have read about some people that cleansed the connections under the car , but I cannot find any, except those that sit directly on the Haldex clutch ..

Would be grateful for some assistance in this problem! = )

Sorry for the bad english.. =S

Best regards / Andreas

Finally i can make a post again!

Got a server error..

But Thanks for the tips!

I have checked the controllerunit, and it was a bit corroded inside.. I cleansed it and put it back..

I still have the esp off error and no 4wd, but now, when i reset the ignitionkey , the lamp flashes as it should when i loose the grip for a couple of seconds befordran it turns on and stays on..

Could it have been to faults?

Both the controllerunit and The pump?
