Hi just wondering whats the best gearbox oil to use in my mk1 octy vrs and also im looking to better my brakes by getting braided hoses fitted an if theirs a specific brake fluid anyone would suggest to use or is it best to buy the lubricants direct from skoda, original vag spec lubricants?

I bought the genuine stuff from VW dealer.

Nowt wrong with original gearbox oil, about £13 for 2 litres from TPS, could even get your brake fluid from there, or try Castrol or Superblue both seem to get decent reviews from peeps who have used them.
