On a Combi with pano roof they are festoons, the reading lights at the rear are above the doors right at the edge of the headlining.

Haven't worked out how to get them out yet without breaking anything so couldn't measure the bulb size :(

Have a look in the Yeti technical guides as I bet the Octavia 3 ones are very similar.

If they are, then it is 37mm festoons - but they are tight!

I had to get three different types of festoon for my Yeti before I found ones that actually fitted (despite being advertised as 37mm).

If you find they are smaller than that then I have some LED ones sat in my desk doing nothing as I don't need them and they are too small for my car.

Looks like they are the same, I can see why they didn't come out as easily as all the others with that metal clip there!

I'll try and pop one out and measure the bulb.

It's not getting the holders out of the car that I was on about (although that is a little tricky compared to other models / generations), but getting the actual bulb in and out of the holder.

  • 36mm festoons are too loose in the holder;
  • 37mm festoons seem to be more like 38 or 39mm.

It seems to be pot luck if the ordered bulb actually fits properly.

As it is I had to bend the metal 'legs' that hold the bulb to allow the bulbs to fit in. Even then it was tight.

I also find the 6500k LED's I have a bit too 'white' for my liking, but can't justify spending almost 10 times as much just to get 6000k LED bulbs in.

Hatch or estate?

Estate with pano roof needs T10/W5W, not festoon. Sorry can't help with hatch.

2017 FL estate with pano roof. Just took mine off and it's a festoon. It's T10/W5W for all other interior bulbs.

Just wondering what size the festoon is - anyway bought both sizes - 36 and 39mm.
